Getting Happiness From Writing

Take happiness where you can get it. I do not necessarily associate happiness with writing, however. Some pretty freakin' amazing writers were pretty unhappy at times... Poe, Howard, Hemingway, Mishima, Kosinski, Thompson, Brautigan, Berryman, Boye, Akutagawa, Sexton, Woolf... I am sure there are lots of happy writers too, and the feelings of accomplishment at finishing a project cannot be denied. Indeed, finishing is my drug of choice. So... Be happy anyway.
